Yachin Epstein, married with three children, lives in Nof Ayalon. Born in Israel in 5729/1969 he was schooled in Kibbutz Sa’ad and at the High School in Kibbutz Yavne.

Yachin, as a member of the "Shiluv", combined his study in Yeshivat Hakibbutz Hadati, Ein Tzurim, with his military service where he served as a tank commander.  Upon completion of his military duty, Yachin continued to study at Yeshivat Hakibbutz Hadati and also studied at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. He has a B.A. from the Open University and an M.A. in Talmud from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and is currently working on his Doctorate in Talmud at the Hebrew University. Yachin also lectures in Talmud and Mishpat Ivri (Jewish Law) at the Open University.

Yachin, who speaks Hebrew and English, has taught at Yeshivat Hakibbutz Hadati since 5760/2000 where he specializes in teaching Talmud, and has published a number of articles in various periodicals.
